As a leading health education and advocacy organization, the American Lung Association in California (ALAC) provides a wealth of information to help constituents learn more and take action to support efforts working to reduce lung disease. The ALAC works with FivePaths on a variety of technology strategy and web development projects.
Over the years, the ALAC has had a variety of consultant "webmasters" maintaining their website, which grew to become and enormously rich resource, but also quite complex to manage on a daily basis and requiring substantial content updates. We worked with the ALAC to reproduce their website using Drupal CMS, providing a set of advanced tools for quickly creating, editing and publishing lung health news, video PSAs, events, press releases and more. The ALAC is able to generate content, and publish it quickly to many relevant pages and sections of the site automatically. We worked together with designers and content strategy to architect a substantially changed and improved look and feel, and to integrate this new theme for all content on the site. ALAC works with a rich resource of volunteer advocates and committed staff that work hard to improve education and outreach campaigns.
We are partners to ALAC on strategic technology and online communications projects. We provide consulting, reviews and recommendations for email marketing, blog and other social networking strategies and tools. We provide regular analysis of visibility and traffic statistics relative to their historical trends to understand the effectiveness of their online campaigns. ALAC also looks to us to provide ongoing support for keeping all their online systems up-to-date and trouble free.
