ELDR is a media company which seeks to inspire the 60-plus audience to celebrate the joys, navigate the challenges and discover the meaning of aging. The team has a long history of providing services for aging constituencies, and sought to develop a new print and online resource to broaden their reach.
ELDR partnered with FivePaths to produce an online magazine and resource site. As a small company, it was vital that the system could be very easily maintained by multiple editors, who needed to concentrate on producing top quality articles and resources for both the print and online zines. We worked very closely with ELDR to produce a web content management system on Drupal CMS, enabling editors to control both the content and its promotion sitewide, without requiring any knowledge of web coding. We teamed up with Primatial Design, a top-quality design team, to construct an award-winning look and feel. Drupal CMS allowed us to respond flexibly to changing design requirements, a critical requirement as we explored how ELDR constituents would best be interested to receive information on the website. We developed a blogger community, and a members section for serving the online ELDR community. We worked with ELDR's subscription fulfillment services to create a "single sign-on" - combining subscriber information together with their online membership to provide an easy way for the community to manage all their relationships to ELDR. We built a number of additional integrations with third party content providers to provide ELDR editors quick and easy access to source content for developing compelling stories.
ELDR relies on FivePaths for strategic advise on whether and how to employ new social networking features, and strategies for sustaining a large and frequently changing website and vibrant online community. We continue to provide ongoing support services to keep the system up-to-date and error free.
