The University of California Berkeley Academic Program Reviews offers a collaborative approach to conducing departmental reviews. Each review involves multiple stakeholders, from students, faculty, administration and external parties to build a comprehensive strategy for improvement.
The Academic Program Reviews department partnered with FivePaths to produce a website to clearly describe the review service to the university audience. As a small department with many stakeholders and multiple reviews to coordinate, it is critical to provide clear, ever-present information about the components of the review process, and how to contact support providers for direction. We worked closely with APR staff to produce a simple content architecture and design, and worked through university channels to set up internal systems for hosting and technical support. We pulled together the university resources and provided training necessary for staff to succeed in managing the website for the long term. The Academic Program Reviews staff rely on FivePaths to answer questions about new content and the best strategies for organizing the website as it expands.
