We just finished attending and presenting at NTC, an annual gathering of nonprofit stakeholders and techies, and picked up many interesting tips and resources along the way. Here are just a very few of the many tips that made us smile:

  • 2011 Nonprofit Social Network Benchmark Report: Analyzes 11k survey responses from nonprofits on their use of social media.
  • Followerwonk: Search twitter user biographies and compare twitter users.  Just plain easy to use.
  • SeoQuake: Firefox/Chrome toolbar providing tons of search engine optimization data on the fly.
  • The Online Giving Study: Network for Good analyzes 7 years of donation data, showing some really valuable insights into giving trends online.
  • FastMac: AC Outlet with USB Ports: Charge your iPhones and other UBS devices right from the wall without using converter plugs. Energy efficient, and just one less accessory to keep around.
  • The Community Corps: Matching technology mentors and volunteers with nonprofit projects.
  • Switch: Brothers Chip and Dan Heath really nail how to make change stick in this book.
  • Frozen Dead Guy Days: This is really too difficult to explain succinctly, just check out the Wikipedia description.
